Users can vote for the next five matches, not only the upcoming match. Known issue: It takes 3-4 seconds for a vote to register. Users can only vote once. Clear vote functionality was being debated because of lag.

Default votes now use a cron job checking every five minutes whether the deadline has arrived. Votes appear in the Battle Grid as soon as the deadline passes.

Terms and conditions for MFAN 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms. By authorizing the MFAN 2026 Web App, you agree to abide by these rules. This app is for entertainment purposes only.

2. Eligibility. Access is restricted to invited participants added to the “Test Users” list in the Google Cloud Console.

3. Voting Rules.

  • Deadlines: Votes must be cast before the “Lock” status is triggered (typically 30 minutes before match start).
  • Finality: Once a vote is cast and the match is closed, it cannot be changed.
  • Technical Issues: The administrator is not responsible for missed votes due to internet connectivity or Google service outages.

4. Leaderboard & Earnings.

  • “Earnings” displayed (e.g., ₹ amounts) are virtual points used for ranking purposes.
  • The App administrator is the final authority on match results and point distributions based on official match outcomes.

5. Conduct. Participants are expected to maintain a spirit of friendly competition. Any attempt to exploit technical bugs or manipulate the Google Sheet backend will result in immediate removal from the league.

6. Disclaimer. MFAN 2026 is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is purely a private app for private entertainment purposes.

Privacy policy for MFAN 2026

Website analytics clarification. This page and the surrounding personal website use Google Analytics to measure page visits. That is separate from the MFAN 2026 app and its private Google Sheet backend. The app itself does not use third-party tracking cookies or marketing analytics.

Effective Date: March 30, 2026

1. Information We Collect. MFAN 2026 (“the App”) collects only the minimum information necessary to operate the leaderboard:

  • Google Email Address: Used as a unique identifier to record your votes and associate them with your player profile.
  • Display Name: As provided by you or pulled from your Google profile to show on the public leaderboard.

2. How We Use Your Information. Your data is used strictly for:

  • Authenticating your access to the voting system.
  • Recording match predictions (votes).
  • Calculating and displaying standings on the “Battle Grid” and Leaderboard.

3. Data Storage and Security. All data is stored securely within a private Google Spreadsheet owned by the App administrator. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or marketing analytics.

4. Data Sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or personal data with any third parties. Your display name and voting history are visible to other authorized participants within the App’s “Battle Grid” feature.

5. Your Rights. You may request to have your data deleted or your account removed from the league at any time by contacting the App administrator.
